Lively Discussion Group
The group was started in 2010 and comprises up to 12 members who discuss a wide variety of topics including politics, health, climate change, geology, ethics, science, art, music etc.
Examples of subjects discussed over the years include:

Excessive Debt and Its Implications for Society
Are Elected Police Commissioners a Good Idea?
Should Scotland Leave the Union?
The Housing Crisis
Can a Free Press be Entirely Faultless?
Should we Reintroduce Grammar Schools?
Are We Prepared for Electric and Driverless Transport?
King Charles III, How Will He Differ From His Mother?
Climate Change – We’re On The Edge

There is only one topic which has been repeated – ‘Who Would Your Ideal Dinner Guest(s) Be, And Why?’ This was first discussed in 2013 and then again in 2020 - two very different discussions as our guest choices had changed markedly in 7 years.
