MESSAGE FROM MANDY ABOUT SNAIL'S PACE WALKS 2019
As you know, I have offered to coordinate the walking group in the new year. To this end, I would like to put together a calendar of walks for 2019.
It would be really helpful if you – independently or with a friend – could volunteer to lead a walk.
In order to facilitate this, I have selected some previous walks (click here). However, you may prefer to offer an entirely new walk or one that I have not included in the selection! If so could you please email me at mandycutler@sky.com and if you are happy for me to know/use your email address, then please let me know. I have requested telephone numbers in the event of the cancellation of a walk and outlined below is the way I see things working during the year.

Leader of the Walk

Responsibilities Coordinator
- As coordinator, I will produce a calendar of walks and circulate this to all members of the walking group on email.
- Each month I will place a brief report on the last walk and details about the next walk, including the email address of the leader of the next walk, in the U3A bulletin and also send this information out on email to all members of the walking group
Leader of the Walk
- Could you please send me on email details of the walk you are leading (including lunch arrangements) and directions from Lutterworth to the meeting point. DEADLINE: THE 25TH OF THE MONTH PRIOR TO YOUR WALK. (e.g. if your walk is in August, you will send details to me by the 25th of July.)
- Could you arrange lunch and coordinate with the landlady/landlord of the pub.
- Members of the walking group will contact you on email to let you know whether they are attending.
- After the walk, could you write up a brief report about his walk and send it to me. DEADLINE: THE 25TH OF THE MONTH IN WHICH YOUR WALK TOOK PLACE (e.g. if your walk took place on Friday 17th May, then you will send the report on the walk by the 25th May.)
